The lovely south facing views mean that the potential for producing a fantastic quality wine is enormous. At full capacity with a great summer and the correct nutrients we should be able to produce around 2000 bottles of wine a year.
As we do not yet have a winery on site, we sold our grapes to a local winery, Knightor in St Austell who have blended it with other Cornish and Devonian vineyards to make a lovely English wine. We sampled a few of their previous vintages and were extremely impressed so we have very high hopes for this year. Their website is www.knightor.com
Our harvest was an exciting, intense and energetic day. We are so grateful for all of the very kind volunteers who came to help us pick the grapes.
Due to Covid 19 we are ignoring our vineyard this year whilst we concentrate on food production. However, we are hoping to establish a community project in the vineyard in future years so if you are interested in learning how to look after vines and help harvest grapes in future years, pleas register your interest with us via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
